The Straffe Hendrik beer glass is a beautiful and gracefully designed beer glass. The glass is printed with the typical logo of Straffe Hendrik, namely the half moon with a face.
The Straffe Hendrik was originally brewed by the De Halve Maan brewery in Bruges. At the request of the then mayor, Henri Maes and his daughter Véronique brewed a slightly stronger blond beer in 1981 for the inauguration of the statue of Saint Arnold, the patron saint of brewers. However, it was so appreciated that it was asked again. It was appropriately named Straffe Hendrik, as the beer was stronger and well hopped.
